PATOPROJEKTARIAT / LIVING GALLERY 2

Video Performance, 2025

Participation in “Living Gallery 2”—a film project initiated and directed by Józef Robakowski, produced fifty years after the first installment of “Living Gallery.” The original 1975 production documented the Polish neo-avant-garde scene through short performances staged directly for the camera. In the new version, Robakowski invited nineteen contemporary artists, adhering to the original principle: each person was given one and a half minutes for an autonomous statement.

For the film, I created the video performance “Patoprojektariat.” The work addresses the precarious conditions faced by young designers and independent artists—the tension between artistic ambition, work, and the economic cost of developing one’s own practice.

The premiere of “Living Gallery 2” took place on January 17, 2026, at KINOMUZEUM, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. The film was subsequently screened at the Kinematograf Cinema at the Museum of Cinematography in Łódź, the WRO Art Center in Wrocław, BWA Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, the House of Art in Brno, and the Zdrowie Cinema in Sokołowsko.
