This void sags; it is (marked by) a fold. It can never be sewn flat. For the fold is no more a theme than the void itself.

Tomasz Armada’s debut collection, presented for the first time during the final gala of “Łódź: City of Talents.”

The outfits presented were an attempt to deconstruct clothing and an exploration of form. I used textile waste as my materials: offcuts, fabric swatches, recycled nonwovens, and secondhand clothing arranged in the form of collages—with which I constructed entire outfits, altering or completely obscuring their original function.
